Privacy policy

How this site handles your data. The short version is that it mostly does not collect any.

What we collect

No account system exists here. You cannot register, and there is nothing to log in to. We do not ask for your name, your email or your student ID.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. When you type a grade into the CGPA calculator, that number is processed by JavaScript on your own device. It is never transmitted to a server, because there is no server to transmit it to. This site is a set of static files.

Local storage

The calculators save your entries in your browser's localStorage so your work survives a page refresh. This is a storage area belonging to your browser on your own computer or phone.

We cannot read it. Nobody operating this site can see what you saved. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and using private browsing prevents it from persisting past the session.

Typical stored values are course names you typed, credit hours, and the letter grades you selected. If you would rather nothing were stored, browse in a private window.

Analytics and cookies

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising scripts at the time of writing.

If that changes, this page changes first, and the notice will say what is running and what it records. We will not add tracking quietly and update the policy afterwards.

Server logs

Whoever hosts these files may keep standard access logs. Those usually record an IP address, the page requested and a timestamp. That is a function of web hosting rather than something this site asks for, and we do not build profiles from it.

Links to other sites

We link out constantly, because every grading scale here cites the university document it came from. Those links go to university registrars, scholarship bodies and government portals.

Their privacy practices are their own. A link is not an endorsement of how the destination handles your data, and you should read their policy if it matters to you.

Children

The audience here is university applicants and enrolled students. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, which covers minors by default.

Changes

Material changes get a revision date on this page. Read it again if you have been away a while.
