Terms of use

What this site is, what it is not, and the limits of what you should rely on it for.

What this site is

An independent reference for academic grading systems, GPA arithmetic and scholarship information, aimed at students in South Asia, East Asia and parts of Europe.

It is free to use. There is no subscription and no paywall.

No affiliation

We are not connected to any university, examination board, ministry of education or scholarship provider named on this site. No institution here has reviewed, approved or endorsed what we publish about it.

University names, logos where shown, and scholarship programme names belong to their owners. We use them to identify the institution being described, which is ordinary descriptive use.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every grading scale here is transcribed from an official document, and every record shows its source and the date we last checked it. Where a university publishes nothing we can verify, the page says so rather than filling the gap with a plausible guess.

That care does not make us authoritative. Regulations get revised mid-year. A registrar can change a passing threshold without announcing it. A PDF can move, and our copy of the rule can go stale between checks. Transcription errors are possible too.

Your university's current official regulation always governs. If this site and your registrar disagree, your registrar is right and we would like to hear about it through the report form.

Decisions you should not make on this site alone

Do not submit a scholarship application on the strength of a deadline you read here without opening the provider's own page first. Do not decide whether to repeat a course, drop a semester, or accept an admission offer based only on a number this calculator produced.

Check the official source. Then decide.

Calculator output

The calculators implement the published rules of the institution you select. They cannot know about your individual transcript, an exemption you were granted, a course excluded from your average by departmental decision, or a repeat policy applied to your particular case.

Treat the result as an estimate that helps you plan, not as a transcript.

Liability

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on anything published here, including a missed deadline, a rejected application or an academic decision that turned out badly.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, in which case the narrowest exclusion the law permits applies instead.

Using our material

Read it, share it, link to it, quote it in a forum answer for a classmate. That is what it is for.

Do not scrape the dataset wholesale and republish it as your own. The underlying facts belong to the universities who published them; the compilation, the writing and the verification work are ours.

Availability

Nothing here is guaranteed to stay online, stay free, or keep its current URL. Pages get retired when the underlying data can no longer be verified.
