The official grade-to-point mapping, how it is applied, and where it comes from.
Ghazi University’s official semester regulations define GPA/CGPA through credit-hour-weighted quality points and publish academic-standing, repeat-course and degree rules. The university’s examination evaluation section uses four letter grades (A, B, C, D) plus F, while the worked examples show that quality points can vary by marks within a letter category. Because the public rules are point-to-point rather than a simple fixed grade-point table, Gradometer does not claim that one fixed B or C value reproduces every transcript. The calculator’s representative letter values are a convenience for planning; official transcript calculations should follow the university’s marks-to-quality-point schedule.
Conversion shown: CGPA × 25 (normalization only)
| Grade | Points | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| A | 4.00 | Highest letter grade; official rules use point-to-point quality points within letter bands |
| B | 3.33 | Representative value for calculator; exact quality point depends on marks |
| C | 2.67 | Representative value for calculator; exact quality point depends on marks |
| D | 1.00 | Lowest passing letter grade in the published undergraduate rules |
| F | 0.00 | Fail |
| Grading mode | 4-letter undergraduate system with point-to-point quality points |
| GPA scale | 0.00–4.00 |
| Undergraduate degree CGPA | 2.20 minimum, with no F |
| Repeat policy | Improved grade substitutes F/D in CGPA; prior result remains on transcript |
The table above lists every tier Ghazi University awards, with the grade point attached to each. The source document is linked at the top of this page if you want to read the original wording. There is a wider point here. Universities publish these rules at different levels of detail, and where a document is silent we say so on the page rather than filling the gap with a figure borrowed from a similar institution.
There is no direct route unless Ghazi University publishes one. A converted percentage looks precise and is not. We took it from the regulation cited above rather than a third-party summary.
Multiply each course grade point by its credit hours, add the quality points, then divide by the credits attempted. Ghazi University weights by credit, so a 4-credit course moves your GPA more than a 1-credit lab.
