The official grade-to-point mapping, how it is applied, and where it comes from.
MAJU publishes undergraduate, graduate and doctoral grading columns, plus GPA and CGPA formulas based on credit hours. It also defines I, W, P, Z/deferred and grade-replaced records. Graduate and doctoral treatment of D differs from undergraduate and must not be generalized.

MAJU uses the credit-weighted method. Grade point times credits gives quality points per course; total quality points divided by total credits gives the GPA. The source document is linked at the top of this page if you want to read the original wording.
No published MAJU rule supports it. The ×25 figure is a rough scaling of a 4-point scale onto 100, useful for a sanity check and nothing else.
Because the MAJU scale is not the same as anyone else's, and using the wrong grade points quietly produces the wrong CGPA. Check it against your own handbook before a deadline depends on the figure.
