The official grade-to-point mapping, how it is applied, and where it comes from.
QAU publishes a university-specific BS grading table. It uses 4.00 for 80% and above, with 3.80 for 76–79, 3.50 for 72–75, 3.00 for 68–71, and so on. QAU also states that GPA and CGPA are credit-hour weighted and that final CGPA is rounded to one decimal place. The transcript includes overall percentage. This record is for the BS rules cited here; other QAU programmes may have separate rules.

QAU uses the credit-weighted method. Grade point times credits gives quality points per course; total quality points divided by total credits gives the GPA.
