German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
A deadline shown here is a research aid. The provider's current call controls the real deadline.
Most Pakistani applicants only know EPOS, which requires two years of work experience and locks out fresh graduates. This is the DAAD route that does not, and it is consistently under-applied for as a result.
| Academic | A bachelor's degree completed no more than six years before applying, with results in the upper third of your cohort. |
| Language | IELTS, TOEFL or a German certificate depending on whether the course is taught in English or German. |
| Other | This is the general graduate scholarship and, unlike EPOS, it does not require two years of work experience. That difference is the main reason to choose between them. |
Apply through the DAAD portal after identifying your programme in the DAAD scholarship database. Each scheme in the database has its own criteria and its own deadline, so confirm both against your specific entry.
We keep past cycles rather than deleting them. Historical dates are the best predictor of when the next call opens.
